The Budget Doctorsm Q&A

Question Four:
Do you have suggestions for setting up a budget? Or a generic format to follow to start with?

Answer Four:
Thanks for writing. The budget is the first step in taking charge of your finances. This can be a very simple form that you can adjust until you balance the way you would like. A budget is a plan for spending your money so you have to make many decisions when preparing one. Of course you also have to review it regularly to see how your plan is working. I suggest a monthly budget and a monthly review. If your plan didn’t quite work, adjust the numbers until it does work. There are many forms and formats and frankly there is no perfect way to budget. Every person has to find the categories and durations that make sense. The important thing is to actually write down and review a budget of some kind on a frequent basis. Good Luck!
