Make Your Move Online Homebuyer Education

Make Your Move… A Guide to Homeownership© (MYM) is an online homebuyer education course for prospective homebuyers. This eight-hour course is a requirement to qualify for down-payment assistance such as Home in 5, HOME Plus, Pathways to Purchase and Home Ready.

MYM is available online 24/7. It covers:

  • Pros and cons of renting v. buying
  • Budgeting and credit
  • Your home-buying team – realtor, lender, home inspector, etc.
  • Pre-approval v. pre-qualify for a home loan
  • Finding the right lender
  • Housing affordability and sustainability
  • Closing process and loan costs
  • Loan types
  • Home search
  • Home inspection
  • Foreclosure prevention
  • Home maintenance, improvement and repair

Take the Online Course

Cost is $100. You must pass with a minimum 70% score to receive the certificate.

Note: Contact your lender to determine if this course would fulfill down-payment assistance program requirements.
