Test Your Financial Literacy
Studies show women trail men when it comes to financial literacy.
According to the National Financial Capability Survey, released in December 2009, women are less likely to correctly answer questions testing knowledge of fundamental financial concepts, such as calculations involving interest rates and inflation. Similarly, a 2008 survey conducted by Dartmouth College’s Financial Literacy Center found fewer women could successfully answer questions related to compound interest, inflation and stock risk.
To bring awareness to this issue, we developed an article for Phoenix Woman magazine that highlights commonly misunderstood personal finance terms. So where do you think you stack up? Take our financial literacy quiz to test your knowledge of need-to-know terminology and concepts.
