Take Charge America Celebrating 10 Years of Financial Funding for FEFE

TAKE CHARGE AMERICA MARKS 10 YEARS OF FUNDING, PROMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM REACHING 750,000 STUDENTS ANNUALLY

Take Charge America is proud to announce the 10th anniversary of its support and involvement with Family Economics & Financial Education Family Economics & Financial Education (FEFE), a program that provides middle and high school teachers nationwide with free personal finance curriculum and training.

FEFE is a program of the Take Charge America Institute for Consumer Financial Education and Research (TCAI). TCAI was created through an endowment from Take Charge America. Located at the University of Arizona, the Institute's mission is to create research-based educational outreach programs to improve financial literacy and help consumers make informed financial choices in today's complex markets.

During FEFE's first year, 50 teachers reached about 1,200 students with its personal finance lesson plans. The program now impacts approximately 750,000 students annually. More than 25,000 teachers have registered to use the curriculum, which includes more than 100 financial lesson plans. They have been implemented by school districts in all 50 states.
