About Take Charge America
Take Charge America is a non-profit financial education and credit counseling organization. We are dedicated to helping people nationwide improve their financial futures through educational outreach, credit counseling and debt management solutions. Since 1987, we have helped more than 1.5 million consumers manage their finances and repay $4 billion in personal debts.
Financial education and literacy are top priorities at Take Charge America. In 2003, we founded the Take Charge America Institute for Consumer Financial Education and Research (TCAI). Located at the University of Arizona, TCAI creates research-based educational outreach programs to improve financial literacy and help consumers make informed financial choices in today’s complex markets.
